LOVE FOR LOGAN JEWELL

Logan Jewell DeWitt is the daughter of Dispatcher Assistant, Johnna DeWitt. When Logan was about seven months77.jpg old, her parents and doctors were concerned with the fact that Logan was not gaining weight despite her healthy appetite. As they monitored her, they noticed Logan exhibited rapid uncontrolled eye movements, called nystagmus. With this discovery, Logan was taken for an MRI in October 2017. The test showed Logan has a brain tumor and the  location makes operating nearly impossible. Over the years Logan has completed multiple rounds of chemotherapy, biopsies, radiation, surgeries, and sedations.

Every three months Logan goes for a NRI to monitor the progress of the main and tract tumors. To this day these have remained stable. But it was during one of those MRIs that they found two new spots in another location and noticed her left carotid artery is constricted. This can cause many problems including stroke, weakness or tingling on her right side, headaches or death. She needs to have cerebral bypass which is very invasive. The doctors are trying to hold off as long as possible for several reasons but the time is quickly approaching as she has had some small seizures.

As you can imagine these doctors appointments and surgeries are costly. We want to make sure Logan and her mom Johnna can continue to focus on healing. Please join us in taking away the financial burden that comes with an on-going medical crisis with a monetary contribution, auction item, hole sponsor or team in the golf outing on August 5.    #LoveforLoganJewell
